Biography

Patrick “Pat” Phelan is a professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, and assistant dean of Graduate Programs at Arizona State University’s Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering. He recently spent four years in Washington D.C. as the Manager of the Emerging Technologies Program at the U.S. Department of Energy, Building Technologies Office. Previously, he served as the manager of the Thermal Transport Processes Program at the National Science Foundation. He researches and teaches in the area of sustainable energy, thermal transport, and energy policy.
