As the strategic events and donor relations program manager Patty seeks to engage library stakeholders in all areas of the ASU library by facilitating and creating strategic events. Library stakeholders could include faculty, staff, students, community members from both outside the ASU community as well as inside the ASU community. Her mission is to develop, transform and manage achievements and challenges through events, relationships, collaborations, strategic communication, service and contact.
As Patty’s previous role included a broad range of event setups, she is always available to provide event consultation and mentoring for the ASU Library staff who are setting up department level events. Through this mentoring, Patty is working to provide tools and checklists for staff planning events so that ASU Library events can be safe and efficient and engage attendees in “what goes on behind the doors” of ASU Library..
As a double alumni of Arizona State University, with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and a Master’s of Education, Higher and Post Secondary Education and staff member for the past 11+ years, Patty is a passionate supporter of ASU. While pursuing her Masters degree she spent time at the ASU Foundation becoming familiar with Philanthropy and the idea that engaging others in your cause can lead to an investment of time, talent and treasure, of others. Patty continues to hold leadership roles across university organizations; these roles include executive leadership for the last 7 years for ASU Staff Council, the leadership board for ASU Family, United Way campaign chair and Open Door unit contact.
