Biography

As Program Manager for Venture Development for E+I (Entrepreneurship + Innovation), Brittany's primary role is orchestrating all activities and functions aligned with managing bi-annual Pitch Playoffs and Demo Days events (funding competitions) within the Venture Devils program. In addition, she cross-functionally executes a wide variety of E+I programming, Venture Development team activities and manages the multiple funding tracks associated with the Venture Devils program. Venture Devils supports all ASU student, faculty, staff, and community-based entrepreneurs. The program aims to catalyze the entrepreneurial success of founders by connecting them with Venture Mentors who provide regular, ongoing support. This dedicated mentorship is paired with optional E+I co-curricular offerings, which are designed to challenge, monitor, and advance the venture development process.

In August of 2018, Brittany transitioned from her position as a Coordinator for Student Engagement within Fulton Schools of Engineering. In that role, she provided programming and operations logistics for the Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) program, E+I @ Fulton Schools (Entrepreneurship + Innovation) and Devils Invent. Brittany had been with Fulton Schools of Engineering since February 2016.

Brittany has been an undergraduate and graduate student, student-athlete and has served in various professional roles at Arizona State University since 2007. During her undergraduate years at ASU, Brittany was on the Diving team for four years and graduated from Barrett the Honors College with a degree in Family and Human Development. After completing her Honors Thesis, "Best for Babies: Resources for Professionals Working with Infants and Toddlers within the Child Welfare System," Brittany went on to obtain her Masters of Advanced Study in the Social Work field from ASU, with an emphasis in Infant-Family Practice. During that time, Brittany served as a lead teacher at the Child Development Lab on campus. After working in with high-risk children and families within child welfare for three years, Brittany transitioned into an Operations role within Sun Devil Athletics before joining the Student Engagement team within Fulton Schools of Engineering.

Brittany enjoys working directly with students to provide them with the necessary resources to succeed while at ASU and to be prepared for their professional aspirations post-graduation.
