Steven Salik

Dr. Steve Salik holds an Interdisciplinary PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Learning Design and Technology Program in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at ASU. He also serves as a Graduate Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning in the College of Engineering at Boise State University. He was formerly the Director of Online Academic Services at the W. P. Carey School of Business at ASU, where he was one of the primary architects of the Online MBA Program and other online learning initiatives.

His research interests focus on creating effective online learning environments by leveraging the appropriate technologies to create a seamless learning experience for students. He explores techniques and technologies for raising the level of instructor presence in online courses, providing effective feedback to students in large enrollment classes and using video to provide more effective communication and guidance for learners. Dr. Salik has also served on the product advisory panels of companies, such as Blackboard and TechSmith, and currently serves as a member of the Peoria Technical Advisory Board in the Peoria Unified School District.
