Lorena Quiñones is Sr. Coordinator of Mastercard Foundation Scholarships for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at ASU and the Baobab Platform at EdPlus. The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program is a scholarship program that educates and prepares students from Sub-Saharan Africa to lead change and make a positive social impact in their communities. The Baobab Platform is a social, professional, learning community for young African leaders and alumni of Mastercard Foundation programs.
In her dual role, Lorena provides comprehensive support to scholarship recipients by coordinating activities to fulfill program objectives across both teams. Lorena has extensive experience supporting international students and scholars from around the world through her previous role in the Office of Global Engagement at Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College.
A proud Sun Devil, Lorena holds bachelor's degrees from ASU in Psychology (BA) and Justice Studies (BS) with a Dance minor, and recently completed her Master of Counseling (MC) degree.
