Biography: 

Ann Sebren is a Principal Lecturer in the College of Health Solutions and is currently the Past-President of the ASU Downtown Phoenix Campus Faculty Assembly. Her primary teaching responsibilities are in the science and practice of stress reduction and prevention, including a graduate course in Mindfulness, Stress, and Health. She has completed the 7-Day Professional Training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and the Teacher Practicum at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and has been teaching MBSR for more than 10 years. She recently completed a year-long mindfulness teacher training through the internationally accredited Mindfulness Teaching Institute and is a Certified Mindfulness Teacher - Professional (CMT-P). Her teaching and scholarly interests are focused on the efficacy of mindfulness for reduced stress, improved health and health behavior change.
