Biography

Dr. Ann Sebren is a Principal Lecturer and the Program Coordinator for the Master of Science in Exercise and Wellness degree program  in the Exercise Science and Health Promotion program in the School of Nutrition and Health Promotion, College of Health Solutions.  Her primary teaching responsibilities include the areas of the social determinants of health and stress science and management, including a graduate course in Mindfulness, Stress, and Health.  She has completed the 7 Day Professional Training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and the Teacher Practicum at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and has been teaching MBSR for over 10 years.  Her scholarly interests are focused on the efficacy of mindfulness for reduced stress, improved health, and health behavior change.
