Valerie Keim is a Grant and Contract Officer Senior with Knowledge Enterprise Research Operations at Arizona State University and has worked in Research Administration since 2013. In her current position, she reviews, institutionally endorses, manages proposal submissions for externally funded research projects, and manages full-time staff. She also prepares and delivers training to Research Operations colleagues and the ASU community. Previously, Valerie worked as a Research Advancement Administrator, collaborating directly with faculty in submissions to more than 100 different sponsors.
Before coming to ASU, Valerie worked at the Maricopa County Superintendent’s office, where she was the one-stop-grant-shop for the department. Her grant efforts resulted in more than $4 million of programming for K–12 students, educators, and leaders throughout Maricopa County.
Since 2014, Valerie has been an active volunteer with the ASU Alumni Association’s Young Alumni Chapter, which engages recent grads by reconnecting them with the ASU community. She is also proud to be an inaugural member of the ASU Alumni Association Leadership Institute.
