Alissa Serignese is the Vice President for the ASU Alumni Association. In that role, Serignese manages numerous engagement programs; directs signature events including ASU Founders’ Day, Sun Devil 100 and the Legends Luncheon; develops student engagement through the Medallion Scholarship Program and the Student Alumni Association; and oversees the expansion of the alumni association’s chapter network that includes 170 geographic, special interest and academic groups, including international connections. She also provides programs, events and fundraising initiatives with ASU Athletics, Sun Devil Club, ASU Foundation and the academic units.
Prior to her current position, she served as the Vice President Communications and Special Events for the Tempe Chamber of Commerce. In that role, she was responsible for managing the communications and special events department and meeting revenue producing goals for the fourth largest chamber of commerce in Arizona. She led the direction for the signature events through effective planning, sponsorship, volunteer coordination and marketing. She cultivated relationships with the business community and was the staff liaison for all communications to the media, membership and general public.
Serignese’s community involvement includes serving as a Tempe Chamber Ambassador and she previously served on the Board of Directors for the Mill Avenue Merchants Association; City of Tempe Sponsorship Review Commission; and the Tempe Coalition. She is a graduate of Tempe Leadership Class XXV and also completed the Institute for Organization Management, a program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Pierson received her bachelor’s degree from the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication and her master’s degree from the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University.
