Biography

Sarah is currently a Ph.D. student in Rhetoric, Composition, and Linguistics at Arizona State University (ASU).  Among other service, she has held/holds the following positions:

(2015-2016) Associate Director of Second Language Writing at ASU

(2013-2015) Assistant Director of Second Language Writing at ASU

(2013-2014) Co-Assistant Chair of the Symposium on Second Language Writing

(2014-2015) American Association of Applied Linguistics (AAAL) Planning Committee Member

(2012-present) Writing Program Administration-Graduate Organization (WPA-GO) Mentoring and Professional Development Committee Member

(2011-2012) Graduate English Organization (GEO) President at Northern Arizona University

 

Sarah's previous education includes:

(2011-2013) M.A. TESOL from Northern Arizona University (Summa Cum Laude)

(2011-2013) M.A. Rhetoric and the Teaching of Writing from Northern Arizona University (Summa Cum Laude)

(2005-2009) B.A. Literature, Writing, and Film from Arizona State University (Magna Cum Laude)

 

She has also worked as an academic advisor and in multiple writing centers.  

 

Sarah has taught English as a Foreign/Second Language in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and in the Arizona Prison System.
