Dr. Jen O'Brien is the Assistant Dean of Students at the ASU Tempe campus and Director of both Changemaker Central, which is a student-lead change creating space and the Associate Students of Arizona State University (ASASU), the five student governments of Arizona State University: the Undergraduate Student Governments at the Downtown Phoenix, Polytechnic, Tempe and West Valley, and the Graduate Student Government. Dr. O’Brien additionally serves as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator for students and supports University Wide Affinity efforts. Dr. O’Brien started her tenure at the ASU Tempe campus as a part of University Housing. Dr. O’Brien then held several roles on the Downtown Phoenix campus including Assistant Director for University Housing, Director of Student Engagement, and Director of Student Connection and Community. Dr. O’Brien then shifted roles to become the Director for ASASU which she still holds to this day. Dr. O’Brien has a passion for Advising student organizations and previously held the position of National Advisor for the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH) for the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH). Dr. O'Brien is a three-time Sun Devil, holding a bachelor's degree in Gender studies and Communication, with a minor in Family and Human Development, a master's in NonProfit Management, and a Doctorate of Educational Leadership and Innovation. Dr. O'Brien is currently teaching in Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College and Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions.
