Helen Burtis is a Faculty Associate for the Indian Legal Program. In addition to teaching Advanced Legal Writing in Indian Law, Helen also teaches the online master's course American Indian Law. Helen also helps with the Indian Legal Clinic, including Indian Wills Clinics, Tribal Court Trial Skills College, and supervising students working on business formation cases.
In private practice, Helen dedicates her career to representing tribal governments and entities, with a focus on administration and infrastructure issues and providing counsel on Native American estate planning and estate administration.
