Maureen Roen retired from ASU as the director of communications for the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts (CISA), where she previously served as director of creative services and as communications specialist for CISA and University College. Before her decade of work in CISA, she served in communication and managerial roles with the School of Social Transformation in ASU's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, with the ASU Foundation, with Syracuse University's Whitman School of Management, and with the University of Arizona, in addition to freelance work in writing, editing, website development and graphic design.
Maureen earned a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Minnesota with double majors in journalism (advertising copywriting sequence) and English, and then completed the first year of her MBA coursework at the Univeristy of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management before transferring to the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, where she finished the second half of the degree the following summer with an emphasis in accounting theory.
