Kristin Hoffner is a principal lecturer in the College of Health Solutions. She has been teaching at ASU within the kinesiology program since 2003, during which she was also a student in the same program. Since receiving her degree in 2006, she has continued to teach and work within this program, and seen it through many changes (in curriculum, campus, college and school!). Her main focus as a teaching faculty member is the students. Hoffner works dilligently with her colleagues to ensure that the program promotes student-centered learning. The program's faculty members pride themselves on developing challenging, relevant courses that utilize many different evidence-based pedagogical styles and methods. We prepare students for success in graduate school and careers within health and healthcare.
Hoffner's research interests include exercise psychology, exercise and depression, exercise and anxiety, health psychology, behavior change theory, motivational theory, sport psychology, coaching behaviors, team cohesion, self esteem, motivation, optimal performance and performance psychology.
