Biography: 

Anali Maughan Perry is the Head of the Learning Services Division and the Scholarly Communication Librarian at ASU Library. In this role, she oversees the management and operation of the Learning Services Division, which includes the customer service access points of all ASU Library locations, Ask a Librarian, Accessibility, Course Reserve, and all library learning spaces. As Scholarly Communication Librarian, she leads efforts to provide outreach and education to the ASU community regarding scholarly publishing and copyright, with particular emphasis on fair use, open access to scholarly information, and open education.

Anali has worked full-time at the ASU Library since 2000. Her previous positions include working in Interlibrary Loan as a Library Specialist and as an acquisitions librarian. She is currently a presenter for the Association for College and Research Libraries Scholarly Communication Roadshow, a mentor for the SPARC Open Education Leadership Program, and serves on the steering committee for the Coalition of Open Access Policy Institutions.

Anali enjoys reading, playing guitar, all types of games, and has a slight obsession with productivity systems. She lives with her husband, 2 sons, and 2 cats.

Anali's research interests are: scholarly communication (including open access, open education, and research dissemination); copyright and intellectual property; and personal productivity techniques and tools.
