As Executive Director & Head of Operations for Global Academic Initiatives at Arizona State University (ASU), Edgington oversees a team of more than 60 educators and staff who execute complex global projects and design and deliver educational programs for international learners. Prior to joining Global Academic Initiatives, she was the Executive Director of Global Launch, ASU’s international training and English language education unit and Administrative Director for the National Science Foundation and Department of Energy funded QESST Engineering Research Center at ASU. She was also Operations Manager for the Meilikan Center for Russian, Eurasian, and Eastern European Studies, where she managed a portfolio of grant-funded projects in the region and oversaw the ASU Critical Languages Institute, an intensive summer program for the language of Eastern Europe and Eurasia. Edgington holds a BS degree in Accounting from the University of Arizona and her background includes training as a public accountant, ten years of ESL teaching experience in Japan and Mexico, and more than 18 years working in higher education administration and operations.
