Biography

Harindra Fernando is an Emeritus Professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering from the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy at Arizona State University. His expertise is in aerodynamics and fluid dynamics.

Environmental Fluid Dynamics:Turbulence in homogeneous, Stratified and rotating flows, Double-diffusive phenomena, Multiphase flows, Complex terrain flows in the atmosphere; Approach: Laboratory experiments, Theoretical modeling using rapid distortion theory and turbulent modeling approaches, Field experiments, Large-scale numerical simulations using community models.
