Biography: 

Veronica is the Senior Manager of Academic Programming and Student Success with the Public Service Academy at Arizona State University. In this role, Veronica creates curriculum and works with students in order to develop cross-sector leadership skills and explore ways in which organizations from the military, public, private and non-profit sectors can collaborate and address complex social issues. The classes she oversees and teaches cover topics of leadership, design thinking, cross-sector collaboration, social entrepreneurship, and systems thinking. Veronica further serves the university by overseeing five undergraduate research students through the Watt’s Undergraduate Research Program and serving on the School of Public Affairs Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, specifically helping to ensure curriculum promotes diversity, inclusion, and equity.

Veronica has previously been an English instructor with the Global Launch program at ASU, working with students and teachers from around the world. She began her higher education teaching career as an instructor with the Mary Lou Fulton Teacher’s College, specializing in topics pertaining to social injustices. She also has years of experience working with nonprofits and managing community programs through the Service Learning and America Reads programs.

Veronica received a Masters of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages through the ASU English department. She also received a BA in Mass Communications from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. In her career, Veronica has combined her passions for teaching and community engagement in an effort to spread knowledge and ignite positive social change. She is now a doctoral candidate in the EdD of Leadership and Innovation program through Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at ASU.
