Biography

Senator Kyrsten Sinema represents Arizona and is a social worker, lawyer and faculty associate at Arizona State University's School of Social Work. She received her juris doctorate and doctorate from Arizona State University in 2004 and 2012, respectively. She became an adjunct professor at ASU in 2003. Her public service includes serving in the Arizona House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011, the Arizona State Senate from 2011 to 2012, and in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2013 to 2019. She was elected a U.S. Senator in 2018.
