Maile Canlas provides undergraduate academic advising for students in the School of Human Evolution and Social Change (SHESC), an academic unit in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Prior to her appointment with SHESC, Maile worked at ASU’s WATTS College at the downtown campus, Informational Technology online group and IT support traditional attendance at the West campus for ASU. Maile is excited about her new role because it combines her professional and personal interest for Interdisciplinary Studies, Human Evolution and Social Change. When Maile is not working, one will generally find her cycling with her husband and young Son or going to different places trying new foods, experiencing different cultures and learning different languages. Recently, she has been chosen to join the Doctoral program at Northern Arizona University and looks forward to her educational leadership journey emphasis community college higher education.
