Firoz Firozzaman received his master’s degree in industrial mathematics from Kaiserslautern University, Germany in 1998 and doctorate in industrial mathematics in 2002 from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mathematics from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh.
Firozzaman has been employed at ASU since 2002. He previously taught at Dhaka University and at King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals. Firozzaman has research interests in number systems and on teaching methods for mid to high school students. He published 15 research papers and received “Dean’s Academic Award” as a best researcher from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2000. He has authored textbooks on algebra and business calculus in Bangladesh and co-authored textbook on pre-calculus, as well as two workbooks on algebra in 2015 and calculus in 2016. He has presented papers at international conferences in Germany, India, Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.
