Biography

Gaby Jimenez serves as the Assistant Director for Student Initiatives. She manages Summer Programs and Special Events. Gaby’s role also encompasses the coordination of student engagement, leadership, and professional development resources to current ASU students members of SPARKS to prepare them for success as students and young professionals.
She has been at ASU for 16 years in different areas of the university in different roles, Financial Aid Counselor, Student Advocacy Coordinator, and Assistant to the Dean of Students. Prior to coming to ASU, she worked at Pima Community College and the University of Arizona in the Financial Aid Department. Throughout all of her professional experiences, Gaby’s passion has been to inspire and motivate students to pursue and succeed in higher education as well as coordinating with other areas of the university and the community to reduce student obstacles and promote persistence to graduation.
Originally from El Paso Texas, Gaby is also a proud parent of two Sun Devils!
