My name is Dr. Eklund. My Bachelor's degree is in Elementary Education, my Master's degree is in High School Education with an emphasis in Health and Physical Education and my Doctorate is in Psychology with an emphasis in Cognition and Instruction. This is my 17th year of teaching and I love it just as much as my first year! I have taught all grade levels ranging from kindergarten through higher education. Most of my career has been teaching High School Health and Physical Education. Before becoming a Sundevil, I was a Lumberjack and taught for NAU in the Physical Education Teacher Preparation program. Five years ago, I decided to continue my education at Grand Canyon University in pursuit of a doctoral degree in Educational Psychology. My current line of research is focused on teacher pedagogy and incorporating physical movement in the academic classroom.
