Dr. Ng is a translational gerontologist and neuroscientist examining: 1) bio-psycho-social and biobehavioral models in older adults due to aging and diseases, e.g., mild cognitive impairment and long-COVID, by investigating the interconnections amongst salivary biomarkers, loneliness, social connectedness/isolation and cognitive impairment , and 2) the feasibility, efficacies and mechanisms of non-pharmacological interventions, e.g., mindfulness and nature-based interventions.
