Biography: 

Eric Guilbeau is an Emeritus Professor and the founding chair of the Harrington Department of Bioengineering at Arizona State University and past chair of ASU's Department of Chemical, Bio and Materials Engineering. He is a member of the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering and a fellow of the Biomedical Engineering Society. He is past president of the Biomedical Engineering Society and helped establish the National Council of Chairs of Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering Programs. He is a past chair of the Academic Council of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering. His research experience includes the areas of biosensor development, biotransport phenomena, systems analysis and simulation of biological and physiological systems with applications in diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
