Haunani Kane

Biography: 

Haunani Hiʻilani Kane is an assistant professor in the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning. She received a PhD in earth and planetary sciences at the University of Hawaiʻi. Kane's research combines geomorphology, paleoenvironmental reconstructions, spatial analysis, and the perspectives of a native islander to interpret how islands and their people are impacted by climate changes. Through this process Kane aspires to provide a more inclusive understanding of the impacts of climate change.
