Long Bio
Robert Kaindl is a professor in the Department of Physics and director of the Beus CXFEL Laboratory at the Biodesign Institute. He joins ASU from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory with more than two decades of experience in quantum materials and ultrafast science, and was recently elected a 2019 Fellow of the American Physical Society. His research focuses on light-driven materials phenomena using a multi-modal suite of ultrafast probes, including terahertz and photoelectron spectroscopies, along with the CXFEL lab’s upcoming X-ray capabilities.
