Yingzhen Yang is an assistant professor in the School of Computing, Informatics, and Decision Systems Engineering. His research interests lie in statistical machine learning, deep learning, optimization for machine learning and theoretical computer science. Recent works include optimization and generalization analysis of Deep Neural Networks (DNNs), compression of DNNs and AutoML. He was a best paper finalist at the European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV) 2016 and received the 2010 Carnegie Institute of Technology Dean’s Tuition Fellowship.
