Lisa has more than 20 years of experience leading strategic marketing and communications initiatives, primarily in the health and technology space. She leads the Cronkite School’s Public Relations Lab, working with students and clients on PR and marketing campaigns to provide a practical learning environment for students while generating results for clients. The students apply the knowledge they have learned throughout their time at Arizona State University to develop comprehensive campaigns for their clients – many of which have earned industry awards.
Lisa most recently served as the general manager at a global PR and marketing agency. As GM, Lisa oversaw day-to-day operations, client services and the teams at the Scottsdale and Dallas offices. In addition, she led client communications for a variety of national clients and spearheaded the healthcare offerings of the agency. Lisa’s clients included those within the following industries: medical devices, insurance providers, medical and nursing schools, start-up tech companies and economic development organizations.
Previously, Lisa served as regional marketing director for one of the largest healthcare systems in the U.S. Her roles included working with physicians, hospitals and health insurance companies. During the course of her career, Lisa has led internal communications efforts, advertising campaigns, go-to-market strategies, created award-winning traditional and digital marketing campaigns and steered various efforts in the healthcare, education, local, state and federal verticals.
Lisa began her career in television news after graduating from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She served as an assignment editor at KNXV-TV upon graduation before transitioning into public relations, which over time, evolved into integrated marketing and communications.
Aside from her news and healthcare work, Lisa had the sweet opportunity to work for Cold Stone Creamery headquarters as PR manager in the early years of the franchise system’s history. Her milestone moments included landing various long-form national news stories, numerous broadcast segments in top markets across the country, launching the World’s Largest Ice Cream Social in coordination with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and identifying celebrities and influencers to engage with the Cold Stone brand.
Lisa has served on the board of directors for Susan G. Komen and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona and often volunteers in local community efforts during her down time.
