Yolotzi Lopez Ortega (She/Her) is the Program Specialist for Projecting All Voices at the Herberger Institute of Design and Arts. She is an Americorps Public Ally, serving underrepresented artists in order to support diverse leadership. She also serves as the Official Historian for the Creating Values Cohort at the Arizona Commission of the Arts. Yolotzi is a full-time student at the University of Arizona currently studying Business Management and minoring in Public Health as well as American Sign Language. She is currently an active member of Kappa Delta Chi as Global Citizenship and Human Dignity chairwoman. Previously she has been involved with LEAD, a program designed to support professional development and leadership. She has held leadership roles in initiatives creating new academic opportunities for children K-12. Yolotzi is passionate about advocating against violence targeting BIPOC women as well as creating safe spaces for unhoused populations. Her career goals are to one day become a program director for nonprofits supporting her passions and finding new ways to amplify underrepresented community voices.
