Wimberly Doran is the Assistant Director of Real Estate Programs. Prior to accepting this role, she was appointed by State Land Commissioner Maria Baier to serve as Assistant State Land Commissioner in December 2009. As Assistant State Land Commissioner, Wimberly held responsibilities for the day to day operations of the Department. She supervised the Administration (which includes budget, accounting, procurement, and human resources), Information Technology and the Land Information Title and Transfer Divisions, as well as worked on special projects and efficiency improvements. Prior to beginning at the Land Department, Wimberly served as Chief of Staff for the City of Phoenix Council District 3, where she focused on policy issues and analysis as well as constituent services. Wimberly also held several executive positions including Executive Director for Phoenix Day Early Childhood Learning Center, Business Manager at The Business Journal, and Associate Executive Director at Valley Partnership.
Wimberly received her Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration in 2000 and went on to receive her Masters Degree in Public Administration from Arizona State University in 2004. In addition, she received her Senior Professional in Humand Resources designation (SPHR) from the Society for Human Resource Management.
