Biography: 

Karen Jean Martinson is an assistant professor of dramaturgy in the School of Film, Dance and Theatre. Her scholarly and creative work interrogates contemporary U.S. American performance, neoliberalism and processes of identification, focusing on issues of race, class, gender and sexuality. Martinson is active in the Association for Theatre in Higher Education, where she holds the elected office of secretary.
