David Thomas is Executive Director of the Milo Space Science Institute. David has been involved in high impact programs throughout his career, as a scientist, entrepreneur, and executive. He developed the public facing operations and logistics model for ASU's COVID response, including Arizona’s largest mass vaccination site, called “a model for the nation” by President Biden. The team administered 1.3 million vaccine doses and set up 70+ COVID test sites across Arizona. David has more than 25 years of experience building sustainable science and technology organizations for academic and defense sectors. He is focused on creating access to space, building capacity in connected ecosystems to maximize participation in space exploration around the world. In his personal time, David supports programs designed to helping improve education outcomes for marginalized populations.
