Xiangfan Chen is currently an assistant professor with the Polytechnic School (TPS) and member of the Fulton graduate faculty in the aerospace and mechanical engineering program and materials science and engineering program in the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy. Before joining ASU, Chen obtained his doctoral degree in mechanical engineering from Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) in 2018, and bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai, P.R.China) in 2012. Chen's research interests mainly focus on advanced manufacturing technologies, including 3D printing, nanoimprinting, and nano-transfer printing, for emerging applications in the areas of photonics, energy, and biomedical engineering.
