Joelle Park is the Graduate Program Coordinator in the ASU School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences (start date 10/23/17). She is a student retention expert, with over 20 years of experience working in higher education, developing and implementing programs to engage student populations and build a desirable campus culture. She is passionate about providing the best possible student experience and driving student success.
- Assists graduate students in the creation of and changes to their Program of Study (iPOS).
- Maintains records in a graduate database.
- Communicates with graduate students on program updates, admissions, and TA/RA offer letters.
- Serves as a liaison to the outside community about the graduate programs.
- Provides overrides and overloads for graduate students who qualify.
- Collaborates with the undergraduate advising office to assist Accelerated Program (4+1) students through degree completion.
- Processes administrative actions with faculty members such as grade changes and other end of term processing activities.
- Assists graduate students with getting connected to university resources.
- Utilizes a variety of university data and programmatic direction to promote student academic success.
- Provides academic information on graduate programs and certificates offered by the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences.
- All other duties as assigned related to student services in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences.
