Kristen Peña is the Senior Program Coordinator for the ASU Kern Grant and serves as point of contact for the team members across all participating campuses. She works closely with the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering and Undergraduate Student Engagement office. She manages several programs and events across the ASU Kern Grant initiatives especially related to student engagement and institutionalization, including: KEEN student grants, KEEN Entrepreneurial Catalysts, Grand Challenge Scholars Program (GCSP) Entrepreneurial Experience, NAE Grand Challenges for Engineering Speaker Series, and Robots That Matter.
Kristen has worked in the higher education field for several years as a Program Coordinator, Academic Advisor, and Academic Department Lead. She has also worked in the social work industry at a local foster care and adoption agency, and still enjoys volunteering for their programs.
