Jason Briggs is the Senior Director of the Office of Global Initiatives at Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Iowa, Juris Doctor from Creighton University and a Master of Laws in International and Comparative Law from The George Washington University. After serving as a Senior Legislative Assistant in the United States House of Representatives and United States Senate, he worked at the law firm of Covington & Burling. Jason also served as a Community-Based Organizational Development Volunteer with the United States Peace Corps in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, worked with the United Nations Development Programme as the Regional Legal Coordinator on a project to combat human trafficking in the Greater Mekong Sub-region and was an International Justice Advisor for the US Department of State-International Narcotics and Law Enforcement’s Justice Sector Support Program in Kabul, Afghanistan. Prior to joining Barrett, The Honors College, Jason was a Program Head/Lecturer in the Masters of International Relations program at Webster University and delivered BA/MA courses on topics such as public international law, US foreign policy and human trafficking at campus locations in Thailand and Austria.
