Charlayne Mitchell is a Global Health PhD Student who is working towards becoming an advocate for at risk community health. Charlayne has spent numerous hours working with overweight and obese children to obtain information that may lead to preventative methods and treatment to decrease the prevalence of obesity.
When she is not working in the community, Charlayne enjoys hanging out with her husband and three children: Horace Jr, Halle, and Hezekiah. Her passion for cooking exotic healthy meals is what sparked her passion for fighting obesity. She also loves to write, draw, and pretend that she has a singing voice.
