Ramesh Gorantla is a Software Development Lead at the Decision Theater, specializing in the development of interactive decision support tools. Ramesh works with researchers and stakeholders involved in complex social systems to engineer user-friendly applications that integrate computational modeling and big data analytics to understand real world problems. Ramesh has led the software engineering on a number of Decision Theater projects analyzing and modeling the exchange of food, energy, and water resources across the United States, sustainable pension planning in Arizona, social media analysis, and water management practices.
Ramesh mentors and trains graduate and undergraduate students on his engineering team and oversees the development process for each project. He is well versed in Agile practices and is a Certified Scrum Master. Ramesh holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Amrita University, India and an M.S. in Software Engineering from Arizona State University. He has prior experience working in private industry.
