Audrey is a First-Generation Chicana Sun Devil born and raised in Yuma, Arizona. She graduated with a B.S. in Political Science and became a certified secondary education teacher specializing in Political Science and American Government. Audrey taught in Arizona public schools for three years before transitioning into higher education. Throughout her undergraduate and teaching career, she spent time in and out of the classroom learning about the relationship between socioeconomic status/political injustices and mental health. She is now a graduate student pursuing a career in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and her passion for student well-being and success continues to grow.
Most recently, Audrey joined the College of Health Solutions Success Hub as a Student Support Specialist. In this role, Audrey connects with students to help them overcome barriers to success, whether academic, financial, personal, or anything in between.
