Biography

Beverly Carlsen-Landy has more than 10 years of experience in teaching online and face-to-face classes. She was certified as a Peer Reviewer for Quality Matters in 2010 and as a Master Reviewer in 2012. She has extensive experience with curriculum development, designing lesson places, and delivering training. She is dedicated to providing leadership, increasing students’ success holistically, and collaborating with administration, faculty, staff, and students in continuing to improve the university experience.

Carlsen-Landy is an expert in improving student success, applying research and practice to identifying risk factors which impede students’ progress, and taking action to mitigate those risks. She is responsible for the design, implementation, and development of the highly successful, hybrid supplemental instruction and tutoring (SIT) program at Texas Woman’s University. The program received a Recognition of Excellence from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) in July 2015 for its outstanding success. Carlsen-Landy was invited to present the SIT program to the THECB and discuss the success of the program.
