Biography

Evan Jordan is an assistant professor in the School of Community Resources and Development at Arizona State University. He received his doctorate in sustainable tourism and protected area management from Michigan State University. His research focuses on tourism policy, planning, development, and impacts, and he has a particular interest in the area of psychological impacts of tourism development. His scholarly goals are to examine how various types of tourism planning and development affect the quality of life of host community residents, and to determine best practices for the tourism development process that promote symbiosis and sustainability for residents, businesses, and government in tourism communities.
