Biography: 

Daniel Milowski is currently a PhD candidate in history at ASU. 

His research interests include:

  • Transportation infrastructure
  • U.S. Route 66
  • Environmental history
  • Settlement of the Southwestern U.S.
  • Race and Ethnicity
  • Borderlands

He also focuses on digital history and digital methods. He has extensive experience using digital methods such as topic modeling, text mining, database analysis, and GIS mapping technology for historical research and visual representation purposes. Previously, his career was focused on digital media development. His areas of expertise included digital video, 3D animation, web development, mobile app development, online learning, and digital project management.

Education: 
  • B.A. in English and American History from Minnesota State University, Bemidji
  • M.A. from the University of Oregon School of Journalism
  • M.A. in History from A.S.U.
