Biography

Heather Villarruel is a clinical assistant professor and assistant division director of teacher preparation in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College (MLFTC) at Arizona State University (ASU). Previously, she was the ASU site coordinator for the dual-certification program in the Pendergast Elementatry School District (PESD). Prior to that, she was a special education teacher, Teacher Advancement Program (TAP) mentor and master teacher.

Education

Heather Villarruel has a background in elementary education, special education and early childhood. Additionally, she received a degree in educational leadership with a principal certification.

Inclusive education, teacher preparation and personalized learning.
