Biography

Liao, Jianling is assistant professor of Chinese and director of the Chinese Flagship Program at Arizona State University. Her research focuses on the interlanguage development in the dimensions of L2 writing and speaking abilities. She is also interested in the development of L2 speaking/writing abilities on the basis of reading/listening input and practice. Her other interests include Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) and proficiency gains in study abroad learning settings. She teaches courses in the areas of language teaching methodologies, language assessment, curriculum design, and Chinese language at all levels.
