I am a first year Ph.D. student in the School of Social Work with a passion for social work intervention research with older adults in healthcare settings. I am originally from the Chicago suburbs, but more recently from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I am a medical social worker, a mother to an energetic toddler, and a runner.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2008 and my Master of Social Work from the University of Iowa in 2012.
Healthcare interventions, outcomes, and accessibility for older adults. Currently, I am particularly interested in how social networks affect anxiety in older adults with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
