Gregory Vance is a graduate research assistant and PhD candidate who works in theoretical and computational astrophysics. Originally from New Hampshire, Vance completed his bachelor's degree at Connecticut College in New London, CT before coming to ASU as a graduate student.
Vance's dissertation research with Professor Patrick Young concerns using simulations to try and understand the processes involved in supernova nucleosynthesis. His work has also included investigations into the astrophysical origins of high-energy neutrinos, like those detected by IceCube Neutrino Observatory.
