Biography: 

Karen began her journey in education teaching in a small, rural town in Wisconsin.  She then moved to Phoenix and taught inner-city jr. high for the Creighton district.  She finished her elementary classroom teaching in the Chandler district where she taught in a variety of SES schooIs.  In her years of teaching, she feels blessed to have taught grades 3-9 and to have met so many amazing students, staff and parents along the way.  She began teaching at ASU in 2014 and has throughly enjoyed working with college aged students, the faculty and staff.  She is so happy to have had the honor to work with so many students and amazing people, and her favorite words of  encouragement are, "Go make a difference ".
