As a Product Manager, Sue works with a collaborative team from the University Technology Office and the Office of the Provost to support and advance the novel work of ASU faculty members.
Previous positions include director of the ASU Digital Repository for ASU Library, knowledge manager with UTO Academic Technologies, and editor and archivist in the Office of the Provost.
Joining ASU in 2005, her background includes a BA in communication, MLIS in library and information science, and an MAS in film studies. Sue was a journalist and news editor for more than 20 years, and draws from that experience to support current projects preserving local film and news media collections. Her interests include analog and digital film preservation, cultural representation in archival collections, and visual and media literacy.
Sue developed the Digital Moving Image Archives (DMIA) guide for filmmakers to provide basic information about preserving digital audiovisual productions. The DMIA is used in the curriculum at the L. Jeffrey Selznick School of Film Preservation at George Eastman House and is a Library of Congress National Film Board resource.
