Sue is director of digital repository services for ASU Libraries. She works with an innovative team of archivists, librarians and technical experts to collect, share and preserve the culture, history and scholarship of ASU.
Joining ASU in 2005, her background includes a BA in communication, MLIS in library and information science, and an MAS in American media and popular culture. Her interests include analog and digital film preservation, the representation of women in archival collections, and the connections between visual literacy and cultural competency.
Sue developed the Digital Moving Image Archives (DMIA) guide for filmmakers to provide basic information about preserving digital audiovisual productions. The DMIA is used in the curriculum at the L. Jeffrey Selznick School of Film Preservation at George Eastman House and is a Library of Congress National Film Board resource.
