Amy Bennett is an Arizona native who earned her B.S. in General Business with an Accounting emphasis from ASU. She has 12 years of combined Sponsored Programs experience from ASU, Northwestern University, and The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, IL. Amy returned to ASU in 2014 at the Biodesign Institute as a Research Advancement Administrator responsible for both Pre- and Post-Award activities. She acted as Research Advancement Administrator, Sr. on CIDSE’s Research Advancement team from February 2015 through November 2017. Her primary responsibilities were Pre-Award in nature and included assisting Faculty with proposals to external sponsors, especially more complex submissions. Amy is also a mother of 3 (one ASU grad and one current ASU student), a Small business owner (Mary Kay Cosmetics), and an officer of the Tempe Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Amy is currently Project Manager for ASU's US DHS Center of Excellence for Accelerating Operational Efficiency (CAOE) with the Global Security Initiative.
