Alicia Ellis earned her PhD in the School of Politics and Global Studies right here at Arizona State University, and stayed on board as a faculty member. She holds a B.S. in Political Science from Northern Illinois and a M.A. in International Relations from St. Mary's University. She is a U.S. Air Force Veteran with multiple deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Her career has included work as a Policy Analyst for the U.S. State Department and as an Analyst at the U.S. Department of Treasury. She was appointed as a Presidential Management Fellow in 2012.
Alicia is currently working on a book on how the structure of state-industry relations in the agriculture sector impacts democratic accountability. She is a committee member with the Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations, and currently working on several articles on the impact of political risk on industry and investment.
